Paula Brandenburg

Transform your classroom, workplace, home and community with a master educator and leadership trainer

Paula Brandenburg founded Respekt after spending more than 25 years as a teacher in elementary, middle and high schools, and as an adult leadership trainer.

Paula built a successful career based on respect for each individual; by accepting and meeting each student as they are, not as she wished they would be. Deeply concerned by the increasing lack of respect she observed in society, Paula created Respekt to help teens and adults develop the mindset and skills needed to transform not only their personal and professional lives, but ultimately, the communities in which they live.

As a master teacher, she utilizes differentiation and immersion techniques to develop curriculum and create a customized experience for each learner. Paula is also recognized for her expertise in behavior management; she has been recruited to rehabilitate classes so challenging that their previous instructors walked out mid-year.

Since 2005, Paula has conducted youth and adult leadership development and team building programs at the local, regional and national levels for the Boy Scouts of America, one of the nation’s largest values-based youth development organizations.

Paula currently serves as the Director of, and an instructor for, one of the BSA’s National Day Camp Directors Schools. Each year, she recruits and trains the faculty, directs and implements the curriculum, and manages the facility logistics for a three-day, 43-session course. The course attracts participants from all areas of the United States and serves thousands of youth annually.

Paula earned her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Central Oklahoma and is a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® practitioner. She and her husband Rob have three adult children and make their home in Houston.
